Upcoming Boiler Sessions

On Saturday, June 19th we're making seed bombs!  It's kind of messy, lots of fun, and you'll leave with some seed bombs to "detonate" in your own garden.  What are seed bombs?  They're soil and seeds surrounded by clay.  Once they've dried, you can throw them into your garden or a field.  The clay protects the soil and seeds inside from critters until the bomb gets enough water for the seeds to sprout.

Kids of all ages are welcome, and for this session, caregivers must stay.  Dress for some mess - this is a lot like making mud pies.  Suggested donation of $10 per family at the door.  No need to sign up, just show up and make together as a family!

Our summer programming is made possible through Summer Matters grant funding, administered by VT Afterschool.  Masks are required for folks who are not fully vaccinated, including all kids younger than 12.

Join us at The MINT for a summer of fun like no other!  On Tuesday, June 22 from 4-8pm we'll be making LED Keychain Flashlights.  We'll do some simple sewing (maybe even learn some embroidery stitches to decorate our flashlights!), learn how to create a simple circuit with an LED and battery and how to create a simple switch.  This is a drop-off session for teens (generally kids 13+ but younger kids are welcome if they will be able to complete the project without caregiver help).  Dinner will be provided.  Bring a water bottle.  Pre-registration is required. $10 per person, with discounted registration for COVID Impacted families and free registration for SNAP, 3Squares and housing assistance.  Choose the registration option that matches your family situation, no proof of income is required.  Our summer programming is made possible through Summer Matters grant funding, administered by VT Afterschool.

Join us at The MINT for a summer of fun like no other!  On Tuesday, June 29 from 4-8pm we'll be making rideable hovercraft!  The ones we build won't look quite a cool as this one from the 1960s, but we'll build personal hovercraft powered by leaf blowers in the wood shop and then ride them.  We'll use basic power tools to cut and assemble our parts and then jump on for some rounds of hovercraft bowling.
