    Join us at The MINT for a summer of fun like no other!  On Tuesday, July 27th from 4-8pm we'll be creating light up greeting cards using our letterpress equipment, LEDS, copper tape and batteries. Learn to design and construct simple circuits with simple electronics and light up your world! This is a drop-off session for teens (generally kids 13+ but younger kids are welcome if they will be able to complete the project without caregiver help).  Dinner will be provided.  Bring a water bottle.  Pre-registration is required. $10 per person, with discounted registration for COVID Impacted families and free registration for SNAP, 3Squares and housing assistance.  Choose the registration option that matches your family situation, no proof of income is required.  Our summer programming is made possible through Summer Matters grant funding, administered by VT Afterschool.

    Join us for a summer of fun like no other!  On Saturday, July 31st we're learning all about codes and secret messages.  Send a coded message that can only be read by someone with the key or even one written with invisible ink!

    Kids ages three and up are welcome.  Kids between age 3 and age 5 must have a caregiver stay for the session, kids 5+ can be dropped off if desired, but caregivers are welcome to stay and learn alongside. Dress for some mess - we'll be using glue, paint and markers.

    Join us for a summer of fun like no other!  On Saturday, August 14th we're learning all about batteries, and we're building our own with common household items like lemons and saltwater.  Learn how batteries work by building some.  How many lemons do you need to light up an LED?

    Kids ages three and up are welcome.  Kids between age 3 and age 5 must have a caregiver stay for the session, kids 5+ can be dropped off if desired, but caregivers are welcome to stay and learn alongside. Dress for some mess - we'll be using glue, paint and markers.

    Join us for a summer of fun like no other!  On Saturday, August 21st we're building penny-powered flashlights.  No batteries required - the power comes from the electrical reaction of metals and acids.  We'll also create shadow lenses for our flashlights - so you can project shapes on the wall!

    Join us for a summer of fun like no other!  On Saturday, August 28th we're creating light up magic wands!  Install a simple switch, use copper tape to send power from your battery to your LED and decorate in whatever way you like.

    Join us for a summer of fun like no other!  On Saturday, September 4th we're creating a super cool dome shelter using cardboard shapes, and then we'll decorate it.  This dome shelter will live in The Boiler for all kids to use when they come.  Watch us cut cardboard shapes in the laser, plus learn how to safely cut cardboard at home using special cutters and saws.
