3D Design Using Virtual Reality!

  • This registration option just allows you to attend the class and experience the VR design experience. No model printing or downloads are available at this level.
  • This registration includes attendance at the event as well as one 3D printed model of your design, printed by MINT staff and available for pickup 2 weeks after the class.

Join Rodney Batschelet to learn about and experiment with 3D sculpting in virtual reality.  Use an Oculus Rift or HTC Vive VR headset and one of several design programs to "sculpt" virtual clay in real time.  Finished models can be downloaded by MINT members for 3D printing on our Cura 3D printers.  Non-Members can add a printing option to their registration.  Our large screens will be set up so that all class attendees can view progress and learn the tools.  Class limited to 12 students.  $30 for members, $50 for non-members, $60 for non-members who would like us to print their VR creations.  Check out a video of these tools in action at  https://youtu.be/WywkU5ZBt2s
