Melt & Make: Fused Glass Coaster Art

In this two-session class, you’ll design and craft a custom artisan tile that will be transformed into a matching set of 4” fused glass coasters—perfect as a starting point for your own personalized tableware collection!

    What you’ll learn:

    • Glass preparation for fusing
    • How to use basic glass tools for glass cutting and pattern layering
    • Kiln overview, glass technology, and safety
    • Use of a glass saw

On Day 1, you'll select a base color and design a coordinating pattern, cutting and assembling COE 90 sheet glass and scrap into a unique glass slab. After class, your slab will be full-fused in the kiln.

On Day 2, you'll cut your fused slab into a cohesive coaster set, refining your design and preparing it for a final full fuse. Coasters will be ready for pickup the following week.
