Glass Gifts Made From Flame
Come for a weekend creating glass beads that we will turn into wine bottle stoppers, beer bottle openers, or letter openers, perfect as a gift set to give or to keep for yourself. We’ll start with the basics of melting and controlling glass, pulling stringers to use as decoration later. Then we will learn how to make glass beads, progressively learning decoration methods. We will experiment with different colors and techniques to create a set of beads to use on the wine stopper and letter and bottle opener mandrels. We will utilize the first two days to create on the torch and will finish the final gifts on the third day.
This class is for beginners or those with flameworking experience.
For safety please wear closed toed shoes, natural fibers such as cotton/flannel/wool/denim, and hair pulled back.
