Stained Glass for Beginners: Rhombus Cube Sun Catcher
Join us for an introduction to our Stained Glass shop!
Using different colored and textured glass, we’ll arrange three diamond shapes (rhombuses) using the copper foil method to form a “3D” cube.
In this class you will leave knowing:
- How to cut and shape glass from a pattern
- Apply foil to the glass for soldering
- How to use soldering irons on copper foil to join different glass pieces in a design
- How to add a simple eye loop to a piece
- All safety procedures for use of equipment and materials in the Stained Glass shop
This beginner class will get your foot in the door of the Stained Glass shop. This course counts as a foundational class that will allow you to work independently in the shop.
*Please wear close-toed shoes, bring water and snack. All other PPE provided by the Mint.
