In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn the art of multi-color letterpress printing while creating beautiful, hand-crafted Valentine’s Day cards. Whether you're attending solo or bringing your special someone, this class is the perfect way to celebrate love and creativity!

  What You’ll Learn

  • How to design unique and romantic Valentine’s Day cards.
  • Techniques for printing with multiple colors to make your cards pop.
  • Tips for aligning designs perfectly with proper registration.
  • An introduction to ink qualities and the wet-on-dry process.

  Letterpress for Beginners

  Join us for a short demonstration and an introduction to Letterpress equipment!

  This class repeats on the first Wednesday of every month

  5:30pm to 7pm.

  Class participants will leave knowing how to:

  • "Lock up a chase" - Composing the printing elements (type, blocks, furniture) into a printable configuration, ready to load into the press
  • "Set up a job" - Specifying and preparations for a printing run including paper selection and cutting, imagery, ink color and press adjustments

  This beginner class will get your foot in the door of the Letterpress shop. In order to work independently in Letterpress you will need this foundational course.

  In this class things could get a little bit messy, please dress appropriately.
