This exciting stained glass intensive will run 9am-5pm Friday, 11/30 through Monday, 12/3, with a 1/2 hour break for lunch each day (please bring your own).  Come take advantage of this opportunity to participate in a four day class accredited by the Stained Glass Association of America!  Ms. Monroe is a professional stained glass painter with more than 35 years of experience in stained glass.  Hallie will start with the basics, including color selection and glass cutting.  The first class will take place at the artist's N. Chittenden studio.  All other classes will be held at The MINT.  Attendees will also learn how to paint on glass with vitreous lead-free paint.  The painted work will be fired in a kiln overnight at the instructor's studio, and then returned to class each morning to proceed with the lessons.  The next step of copper foiling and soldering will allow students to create their very own 8x10" stained glass panel.  Students are welcome to bring their own art work to class, however, it will be up to the instructor to determine if it's appropriate for the painting lessons.  All tools and materials will be provided.  A $50 materials fee will be due at the first class, payable by cash or check directly to the instructor.  4 students minimum, 8 students maximum will allow for lots of hands on time and instructor attention.  The perfect class to make a holiday present for that special someone!
