CNC Training with Matt Hackney

Would you like to learn how to use the CNC machine at the MINT? This tool training Tuesday is CNC with our CNC shop lead Matt Hackney.

Matt operates CNC machines for a living almost everyday at Questech. He knows all about programming tool paths from 2D to 3D.

For those who don't know CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control. A CNC machine is basically a robot that you tell what to do... and then it does it for you with extreme accuracy and speed. The CNC router at the MINT has the ability to mill 3D shapes, full sheets of plywood, and even aluminum.  No more needing to painstakingly hand cut shapes when you have the CNC around!

Our tool training Tuesdays will rotate between all of our shops, so if you can't make it plan on catching Matt again in a few weeks!
