This class provides the fundamental skills and materials knowledge you'll need for future projects in jewelry and metalsmithing. Students will receive:
This beginner's class is for anyone interested in the art of metal smithing to use in jewelry making or in any fine metalworking project or application. This tool training is required before members can use the Jewelry Studio (all equipment including hand tools).
This class is intended to provide basic training on, and independent access to, a specific set of tools at The MINT.
Non-Members may take this or any classes at The MINT. Become a Member to gain independent access to our shops outside of class time.
The MINT is holding smaller classes so that we can provide socially distanced instruction and follow correct cleaning and disinfection protocols. Shared tools will be cleaned between students. Instructors will stay 6 feet away from students when possible to give safe instruction. Instructors may have to stand closer to students than 6 feet when necessary for safe tool instruction. Double layer fabric masks that cover your nose and mouth are required at all times in The MINT.
