This class was so popular, we've added another session for the month of May!

The Joy of Letterpress: Basics I

Short demonstration and an introduction to Letterpress equipment   

This class usually repeats on the first Tuesday of every month, 6pm to 8pm

Learners in this class will leave knowing how to:

•  "Lock up a chase"  Composing the printing elements (type, blocks, furniture) into a printable configuration, ready to load into the press
•  "Set up a job" Specifying and preparations for a printing run including paper selection and cutting, imagery, ink color and press adjustments

This beginner class will get your foot in the door of the Letterpress shop. In order to work independently in Letterpress you will need both Foundation courses: Basics 1 and Basics 2 (usually held on the second Tuesday of every month).
