Learn to Use the Vinyl Cutter

This class provides the fundamental skills and software knowledge you'll need for future projects using the Silhouette Cameo vinyl cutter.  This cutter is easy to use, and will cut vinyl up to 12" wide and infinitely long. Use the vinyl cutter to make decals for your car, truck or trailer, signs for your business, product labels, custom stickers, and even shirts! Students will receive:

• An introduction to the features of the vinyl cutter

• An overview of how to operate the vinyl cutter, including creating cutting files, loading material into the cutter, choosing cut settings and troubleshooting

• Lots of hands-on practice and time for Q & A

This beginner's class is for anyone interested in making custom stickers. This tool training is required before members can use the vinyl cutters.

Please bring a laptop loaded with the Silhouette Cameo software with you to class.  The link to download the software is here: https://www.silhouetteamerica.com/software/ss/download  If you don't have a laptop to bring, you are welcome to use one of The MINT computers, but file prep will go more quickly if you have your own laptop.

This class is intended to provide basic training on, and independent access to, a specific tool at The MINT.  

Non-Members may take this or any classes at The MINT.  Become a Member to gain independent access to our shops outside of class time.

Masks are required for all, regardless of vaccination status. Please bring a mask when you come for class.
