Paint Your Own Shirt or Flag - STEAM Powered Saturdays

  • If you lost employment or housing due to the pandemic or consider your family "low income" feel free to pick this reduced registration pricing option.

Join us for a summer of fun like no other!  On Saturday, July 2nd from 9-11am, we're making custom painted shirts or flags!    We'll cut custom stencils on our vinyl cutters, and then paint through and around the stencils to create our designs.  Bring a light colored shirt if you want to make a shirt - blank flags will be provided.  Because we cut the stencils on our vinyl cutter, they are sticky, easy to paint through and don't move around. Even very young kiddos can be successful with this method.  Older kids can be more deliberate with design, color choice and painting technique to make more intricate designs.

Kids ages three and up are welcome.  Kids between age 3 and age 5 must have a caregiver stay for the session, kids 5+ can be dropped off if desired, but caregivers are welcome to stay and learn alongside. Dress for some mess - we'll be using permanent fabric paint and Sharpies.    

Pre-registration is required. $10 per child, with discounted registration for COVID Impacted families and free registration for SNAP, 3Squares and housing assistance.  Choose the registration option that matches your family situation, no proof of income is required.  Our summer programming is made possible through Expanding Access grant funding, administered by VT Afterschool.
