Butt Joint Basics

In this, make and take class, we will cover two types of basic joinery and participants will take home a picture frame to fit an 8x10 print. We will discuss how these joints differ in strength as well as how and where we would use these joinery methods. These are basic joinery techniques that can be incorporated into cabinetry, table making and more. 

In this class you will learn the safe way to:   

• Cut with a compound miter saw (chopsaw)
• Use our SawStop tablesaw
• Use a router
• Use a drill and doweling jig
• Use a variety handtools and measuring techniques

Think safety first: bring you own safety glasses if you desire. There will be some on-hand to borrow as well.
