DIY Ski/Snowboard Tuning Class

Learn to Tune Your Skis or Snowboard Like a Pro!
Join us for this hands-on two night workshop and gain the skills to tune your skis or snowboard at home. For the price of a shop tune, you'll leave with the confidence to maintain your gear and a custom-built tuning jig to take home!

Dates: February 5th and 6th
Time: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Location: The MINT Woodshop

Cost: 

  • $65 members
  • $70 nonmembers

Session 1: Build Your Tuning Jig

  • Construct your own ski/snowboard tuning jig using simple materials.
  • Learn the anatomy of your gear and why tuning is essential for performance and safety.
  • Start edge-tuning basics (time permitting).

Session 2: Tuning, Repairing, and Waxing

  • Master edge tuning techniques.
  • Repair base gouges with P-Tex for a smooth ride.
  • Wax your skis or snowboard for optimal glide and durability.

What to Bring:

  • One pair of skis or a snowboard to work on.
  • Practice on extra skis provided by the instructor before tuning your own gear.

What’s Provided:

  • All materials for building the tuning jig.
  • Tuning supplies, including P-Tex, wax, and tools.
