Mosaic Flower Pots

Let's play with shapes, tile, glass, and grout! 

What You'll Learn:

• Session 1: You'll learn how to properly prepare your flower pot for mosaics, understand different types of adhesives, and begin building your unique mosaic design on a curved surface.
• Session 2: We'll dive into addressing any irregular or sharp edges in your tesserae, and then focus on the essential techniques for finishing and grouting your pot for beautiful, lasting results (even for outdoor use!).

By the end of this class, you will understand how to:

1. Prepare a ceramic pot for mosaics.
2. Create an effective design on a curved substrate.
3. Select an appropriate adhesive for your project.
4. Address minor points and imperfections in your tesserae placement.
5. Grout and finish your pot.

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes for safety. You may also wish to bring gloves for handling/cutting glass. Eye safety wear will be provided in the shop.
