Also known as pouring art, flow art and liquid art, poured acrylic art is a form of abstract art that uses acrylic paints with a runny (fluid) consistency. This consistency is achieved by mixing acrylic paint with a pouring medium, such as Floetrol, which will be used for this class.

The acrylic paints react with each other when combined together to make original, abstract and beautiful art pieces. This type of art is fun for all ages. Fluid acrylics can be used on many types of surfaces/items and with many different techniques such as pouring, dripping, swirling, blowing, swiping and more.

In this course, local artist Tammy Brown will teach you everything you need to know to become a paint pouring artist.

  • Setting up for a pour, prepping your area, paints and canvas
  • Mixing ratios for paints to flow medium
  • Various pouring techniques such as dirty pour, flip cup, swipe technique, dutch pour and more.
  • Tips on setting up your paint pouring studio on a budget
  • Anything more you want to know!

Tammy is here to help you become a confident Fluid Painting Artist!
