It’s vogue. It’s sophisticated. It’s a countertop compost bin handmade by you! Build this attractive alternative to the traditional green plastic compost pail to collect your daily bits of food scraps. You’ll be composting in style after this class. Keep this for yourself or give the gift of sustainable living this Christmas.

When you take this class, you will learn:

  • milling rough cherry boards using the jointer and planer,
  • shaping your board into its final form using the table saw and chop saw,
  • personalizing it using the X-Carve Pro,
  • and then to the last, most satisfying step of applying finishing oil—making your project truly shine.

The metal insert used in this project is food grade stainless steel, removable, and dishwasher safe. If you’re worried about odor, don’t be. Its lid locks in odors and discreetly stores days worth of kitchen scraps before needed to be emptied into your garden compost.
