
Half- Week SUMMER CAMP 2: Survival Skills!
Adventure awaits at our "Survival Skills" camp! This week, we'll dive into the exciting world of outdoor preparedness, learning essential skills for exploring and thriving in nature. Get ready to unleash your inner adventurer as we tackle hands-on projects and learn valuable techniques.
Camp Theme: Survival Skills
Dates: July
Time: 8am-4pm (drop off between 8-9am)
Location: 112 Quality Ln, Rutland VT, 05701
Age Groups: K-3rd grade & 4th-6th grade
Half-Week Rate: $175 (1-3 days of camp, these are full days of camp, we are not currently offering a half day option)
Important: After you have registered using the link below, please email us at marissa@rutlandmint.org to let us know which days your child will be attending and what age group they fall into (K-3rd or 4th-6th). This will help us ensure that we have adequate staffing and materials each day.
What to Pack:
- Snacks and lunch for your child each day.
- Comfortable, durable clothing suitable for outdoor activities.
- Closed-toe shoes with good traction.
- A water bottle to stay hydrated.
- Sunscreen and a hat for sun protection.
- Optional: A small notebook and pencil for taking notes.
A Week of Survival Adventures: This week, campers will participate in four engaging activities each day focused on building essential survival skills. We'll learn how to make our own DIY hiking bags to carry our gear, work together to construct mini waterproof shelters, discover basic knot-tying techniques, identify some helpful plants (for educational purposes only), and even create some simple fire starters (with parent/guardian permission beforehand)! Get ready for an action-packed week of learning and outdoor fun.
